The Process / Kellie Riggs Jewelry

July 15 2013 / Designers

Kellie Riggs’ interview is up on the site along with her beautiful renderings of the jewelry collection. During a semester in Rome, Kellie studied the interiors of Italian churches. Her line is essentially architecture for the body based on the shapes she found. She later completed a Fulbright scholarship in Rome exploring these concepts and her work on a deeper level.

One of the most essential (and favorite) things we do at Craft & Culture is sit down with designers, visit their studios and explore the creative processes, inspiration, challenges and discipline that goes into the work. Kellie is a prime example of what it’s all about. She is an artist who is incredibly attuned to the roots of her inspiration and the significance of interpreting greater ideas into wearable pieces. She’s also hilarious and well spoken. Read the full interview here and shop her pieces on Craft & Culture.
